Fortunately most of my TV viewing these days is downloads or time delayed anyway, so hopefully not too much of a problem.

The Rugby's on ITV and I'm trying to remember when I last watched anything other than the odd film on ITV. Was it Primeval at the start of the year? I think that as far as I'm concerned it's improving the ITV schedule no end. YMMV of course.

I rather like the way Google do special event images. But I agree, the TV schedule will be shot to hell and back over the next week or so.

But not here in Iceland... it'll be just as bad as ever and the schedule timing will be as inaccurate as ever even without the excuse of a world cup.

I haven't noticed Google doing anything similar for the start of the (American) football season here in the US market. That reminds me that I need to set my new TiVO to record returning favorites and promising new shows...
