Getting Rid of Copilot
Apr. 3rd, 2024 08:21 pmMy Windows box has installed Copilot, an AI "writing" program, in the last round of "upgrades". This is apparently something that Microsoft are pushing hard, since all instructions on removing it seem to be virtually incomprehensible - about the best that you can do easily is remove the button to start it from the toolbar. I suspect that the instructions were AI generated.
I do not want to use AI for writing - I regard it as an invitation for problems with copyright etc. in the things that I write. I suspect that there are businesses that will find this out the hard way.
If anyone knows a method of removing it that doesn't involve more or less incomprehensible instructions please point me at it.
Meanwhile, FU Microsoft
